While in Sao Paolo doing a talk and a workshop at the conference New Frontiers on Consumer Behaviour I came across an interesting recycling initiative. Most recycling bins ask people to sort the garbage into different categories, but do people really bother? In Sao Paolo they created these clever translucent bags and bin where others can see if you put your garbage in the right bin. It’s a clever way to social proofing your recycling behaviours.
